My Personal Favorite – Story 11 Dubliners
A story that leaves you in solemn aghast, renders
excruciating pain about the unexpected – A Painful Case by James Joyce.
Back in 1900s Joyce in his twenties takes the reader in a
cinematic venture when he uses the technique ‘stream of consciousness’ to embed
life and emotion in his dramatic writing.
A long sought affectionate longing for companionship goes
unanswered eliciting a fatal response sprinkling the dewdrops of epiphany
scantily.
It’s in every being’s human nature to break free the
monotony weighing the clandestine inclinations which evoke a sense of belonging
– the call of the wild.
“Emotions cannot be tied
Winds cannot be bound
When you are right around
I’m destined to be paralyzed”
